The best advice I can give for resting during a workout is to pick a number of breaths you will take during any rest period. Let’s say you are at rep 50 of your push-ups in “Angie” and you decided to take 5 deep breaths for a rest period. Once you stop sit up and take 3 of the 5 breaths, shake out your arms and get back into push-up position. This last step should have used up the other two breaths so you are ready to work again. Now the key is to start pushing again!
